Greetings from Taormina!

Today we are in sunny Taormina, a small Medieval town in the mountains of Sicily. It's so cozy being here with all other 3498 Carnival Freedom passengers. We were sad to leave Venice, but had a fun time visiting Dubrovnik, Croatia...we walked the two and a half mile wall around the old town, which was really fun but challenging, as it was mostly steep, rocky stairs. Yesterday we enjoyed (slept) our day at sea. Gabe won Famous Places Trivia, so we are now each proud owners of Carnival plastic trophies (mine was for naming TV theme songs, of course). We may go for 3 before the cruise is over. I am starting to really homesick, even though I am having so much fun with our new friends. But we miss Archie...but we're checking in on him on the webcam and see him playing with his puppy pals. We'll be home in less than a week! And in about three hours, our ship will depart for Barcelona, after one last day at sea tomorrow.
