A Note From Nurse Jenny

Gabe is home in recovery mode, which means he's watching "Extreme Engineering" marathons on the Discovery Channel. The doctor removed three meatball-sized gallstones from his gallbladder during Wednesday's surgery...he showed me pictures. They were like alien pods ready to burst, ready to chase Ripley and Newt as they wait for Bishop to take them off the planet before it explodes. Obviously, he's pretty sore, but nicely hopped up on Vicodin and doing just fine.

Gabe just told me to include "Go Bucks!" in the post. And, of course, Go Dawgs...maybe, by some miracle, they can beat Auburn.

Dedicated to college football

Good Morning Everyone!,
greetings from celebration hospital here in orlando. I had the gall bladder taken out successfully yesterday and although this is considered an outpatient surgery, they like to keep you around for 23 hours or so. right now i am typing this email from a cool device from cardinal health called a pyxis patientstation (google that and youll see how cool thing is.) its like a 15 inch flatpanel dsplay on an arm like one of those fancy desk lamps and i am the whole thing is a touchscreen with a keyboard on th screen. i can click on tv,music, email, the internet, games etc. this rocks!

ok well im still plenty sore and dont remember a thing about the operation, but thankfully the gall bladder is now out and ill probably be here until later today then go home to rest. but the big thing tonight is the louisville rutgers game. woohoo. im looking forward to watching that game. plus here is your tip sheet for this weekends games. enjoy!  go bucks!

I Made Freedom Count

That's what the sticker says when you go and vote. Gabe had his pre-surgery ERCP "procedure" today, during which a small camera was put down his throat to search for lingering gallstones. His main "procedure" is tomorrow...no more gallbladder! Gabe insisted we go to vote after leaving the hospital, even though he was pretty sick...he really believes that freedom isn't free, I guess. Voting is totally fun, I have to admit...

The clock continues to wind down to November 18

Good Afternoon Everyone,
The clock continues to wind down until November 18th when the Wolverines from that team up North come down into the Horseshoe along the banks of the Olentangy and we continue to look forward to it. However we can't forget about those danger kitties over in Evanston. That Ryan Field has proven to be a tricky place historically and with college football you can never tell what will happen on any given Saturday.

Thanks to all of you whom I saw over the Homecoming weekend up in Columbus last weekend. It was good to see you either at the hospital, or at the tailgate on gameday.

Oh yeah, about the hospital. Well it turned out that I had an inflamed gall bladder that just decided to act up really bad while prior to flying from Orlando to Columbus. Thanks to Dr. Dominguez, and the staff at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, they admitted me on that Thursday and brought be back to health in time for the game on that Saturday. They got me well enough to get back home to Orlando and to schedule my operation, which will be taking place this Wednesday. Once I am coherent from all of this later this week, I'll post an update. I just hope I am not too drugged up for the big Louisville and Rutgers game going down on Thursday night.

This past weekend Jenny and I went to see the Borat Movie (on opening night) and laughed very much. We even laughed harder when we saw some offended couples walk out of the theater. That's always a DEE-LIGHT. And by the latest news, this movie wasn't just a hit with Gabe and Jenny, who had been anxiously awaiting it for quite some time. Click Here!

Oh and we also saw "The Departed" movie, which was also good. But BORAT had to be the highlight for me this weekend for movies.

Go Bucks!
