Happy Wedding Anniversary to Eric and Evie!!
Eric and Evie,
Congratulations on your one-year anniversary!! Jenny and I are very happy for you and wanted to extend you many warm wishes. As if you needed more warmth in the valley of the sun- HA HA Whoah! HA HA. It was one year ago this past weekend that I, as your best man, as well as your brother-in-law, EC, and Evie's cousin participated in one of the most beautiful ceremonies, took photographs on one of the warmest days in Chicago, enjoyed some of the best hospitality from Evie's parents, and danced and drank the night away in one of the most fun wedding receptions we have ever attended. It was truly one of the most memorable experiences we've had.
Congratulations on your anniversary!! Here's to many more!!

Miami Vice: It's no HEAT

This past Friday, Jenny and I went to see the movie MIAMI VICE. While the filiming of it was really cool and grainy, it didn't give me the feel of Michael Mann's other projects, like HEAT. I was a big fan of the movie HEAT and its great score. I am also a fan of MIAMI VICE-the original series from the '80s. I knew this movie wasn't trying to be like the series, but I went into the movie expecting something like the movie HEAT. I went into this movie expecting to see the true main character - the City of Miami - being featured. It's role was limited in this movie and that left me asking for more. I thought Mann could have really of taken it up a notch with the role of the city that is Miami-either at night or in the day. The action is Ok, the actors are OK and the story is alright. But I guess I should have went in expecting nothing vs something. This way I wouldn't be writing something like this.
It's worth seeing maybe at a matinee with your non special engagemet ticket vouchers and free moviewatcher popcorn coupon

Counter-Point Provided by Jenny:
I think it's great that parents want to spend time with their kids, but they need to go see MONSTER HOUSE, not MIAMI VICE, which features bad people using bad words, Jamie Foxx's butt, and lots of loud gunfire. I don't need to hear kids crying and parents looking for booster seats so little Gavin and Brittany can see all the action. And where was the theme song? Geez, there were no opening credits...they ended the movie with some cheesy remake of "In the Air Tonite," which just happened to be featured on the show, but was NOT THE THEME SONG. Oh, and I was completely lost for about 75% of the movie. It had a really convoluted plot and I had no idea what was going on. And do that many pepole make out in the shower?
7 minutes of total relaxation

That is what I felt when I first listened to "Rapture at Sea" about a month ago on the Sirius Chill channel. It came over me.. "What was this song?","No vocals?", "Who is Eastern Sun?","Why am I only hearing this song now?" It was just haunting and very relaxing.
The song by the artist Eastern Sun, could very easily be used in a video showing you in a spacecraft be swung around the earth from the side experience night onto the side experiencing daylight. It could also be played on a rainy day as one just relaxes and lets this song take over. It had been ringing in my head for weeks and I finally decided to purchase it on Itunes to add to Gabe's chill collection. I can't speak for the other songs on Eastern Sun's album titled "In Emptiness" since I haven't heard them. I can, however, speak for track 3: "Rapture at Sea", by recommending it to everyone with an ear for great music. For now, it's my favorite relaxed, Downtempo, chill, whatever you want to call it type of song. In fact, I listen to it now as I type and truly find it hard to describe how beautiful the song is. For those of you who are fans of ambient and some chill music, give "Rapture at Sea" by Eastern Sun with John Kelley, a try. You won't be disappointed.
