Over 4000 miles of travel, 700+ miles of driving on the wrong side, 10+ days and Radio1

We're back!
Jenny and I have officially done our tour of England. We did most of the things we wanted to do and left some items for next time. I'll post more when we get some time to catch up. But in a nutshell it was awesome! Loved it! Brilliant! Absolute Floh Fillah! I can now say I've driven a car with a steering wheel on the right side and driven on the left side of the road across a beautiful country.

Jenny and I flew into Manchester, spent a few days with the Ham Clan in Yorkshire, visited the Moors, Whitby, the Hogwart's Train Station in Harry Potter, Beverley, York, Sherwood Forest, Nottingham, Birmingham area, Ironbridge, Coventry, Stratford Upon Avon, The Cotswolds, Stonehenge, Swindon, Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Banbury, Huntingdon, Cambridge, Luton, multiple castles and abbeys, and finally 3 days in London to wrap it all up in a bow and fly home from Heathrow.

It was a wonderful and thrilling experience!
Our friends the Ham Clan were awesome hosts. In England, we drove on all sizes of roads. Thanks to a GPS device we borrowed from the Ham Clan, we were able to traverse England like the natives. We even had a british accent voice guiding us... "... take the roundabout, second exit"

In the evenings we got to watch tons of television in our hotel room. One commercial that I loved that I saw over there was of the guy "Brains" from the old UK show: Thunderbirds, which I still watch today on HD television when I get the chance. They have a water commercial for Drench using him and I found it so cool. Check this out:

Adam K and Soha -Long distance (Original mix)

Had to post this great song up on here tonight. Part of a set that I found on YouTube from Mr. Rossi for the 2008 WMC in Miami. This one just rolls so well.
Jenny and I continue to plan for England and we have the powerpoint continuing to grow. We're very much looking forward to visiting the UK once more.
That's all for now. Enjoy the track!

The planning begins for Gabe & Jenny's return to England

The PowerPoint and Binder construction has begun for our annual trip. Last year it was Italy and the beautiful Mediterranean. This year, it's for King and Country, as we return to England.
As we plan for our return to England, we get in the mood by posting some fun tracks from Youtube.

Today's first selection is Suburban Knights by the band called Hard Fi. Gabe first heard this song on Radio 1 in 2007 driving home from work one day. The chorus is catchy and the song has a great beat. And it's not even a dance song. Jenny is in shock Gabe is into this song. In addition to this catchy song, I've added some other favs to get ready for England, and also some "Gabe and Jenny classics from our first trip to England" that always will remind us of our first trip to London. Enjoy the videos:

The following song was playing at all the hip stores in Oxford Circus and on Kensington High Street on our first visit.:

And we plan to drive in the countryside to regions where they host events such as this:

Not a song, but still looks cool, It's the London Eye, Big Ben and the 2008 Fireworks. When Jenny and I rode on the London Eye it took about half hour to make the complete trip. It provided for great views of the River Thames, Big Ben and all of London.:

Cloverfield was Awesome!!!

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post on Friday night after the movie, but I was too busy surfing www.cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com . What an awesome site with links to all sorts of things. Jenny and I stayed through the credits of the movie and there was something at the end, but not worth staying for. You can find it on the web and it was just an audio clip.

Prior to the release of this movie, I stopped looking for viral marketing and backstory on this movie as well as reviews, as I didn't want it to tarnish my thoughts of what I had in my head for this movie.

It was awesome. There will probably be more, and if not, well it was great as it is! Information such as what follows, only adds icing to this cake for me:
1. Rob and the rest of the characters in the movie all had Myspace Pages, that you can visit (check the above URL for more information and links). In it Rob mentions he has taken a Job with a company called Slusho.
2. Slusho is a slushy company in Japan. This company apparently claims to make these great slushies using some nectar of the sea or whatever. They get this from the bottom depths of the ocean. Their parent company is the Tagruato mining company.
3. Tagruato is like the Exxon of Shell and while they perform their operations with deep sea platforms or whatever, they have an environmentalist group following them called TIDOwave.
4. TIDOwave is the equivalent of Greenpeace. They have people who follow the acts of Tagruato etc.

Is your brain hurting yet?

5. Tagruato (look at their symbol on the following videos) had a tanker that was sunk near the statue of liberty in the movie.
6. One of the characters in the movie was wearing the Slusho t-shirt at the party.
7. The passed out girl on the couch during the party in this movie is Jamie. Jamie mentions "I wish Teddy was here" sometime prior to that when she's talking to Lilly, the girl throwing the surprise party.
8. Teddy worked for TIDOwave. In one of the letters or videos between the two, Jamie gets a gift from Teddy with an important update.
9. There is this series of japanese comics- something called a MANGA, (my friend Jacob will get a kick out of these!!) regarding this story:

Ok so enough of the brain hurting...
Check these out and add more story to "the story":

This is the Youtube Channels with a report about a Tagruato platform. Please watch all the language versions as each has additional video footage worth watching.

Jamie and Teddy's little website. Check these out to see more:(the password is: jllovesth )

More Cloverfield...

It's finally coming this Friday....

Ever since I first saw the trailer for this movie at the beginning of the Transformers Movie last year, I've been drawn to it. All the viral marketing, all the cool freaky trailers and the website pieces come together this Friday night. Let's just hope that the movie lives up to the hype it has created....
I'll be there Friday night ready to experience... Cloverfield.

And so another season comes to an end. Congrats to the LSU Tigers

What a wonderful and fun season it was this year for College Football. So many great games, great upsets, nailbiters, etc. Last night's game wrapped up a rollercoaster of a year and opened up further discussion about the BCS and all the things that come with it.

Congratulations to the LSU Tigers on their win over my Buckeyes last night. Our Buckeyes were supposed to be in a transitional year in which we were rebuilding. Therefore to have gotten as many wins this season as we did, beat Meatchicken and be in this game and to have an opportunity to play another SEC team, made for a fun season. Unfortunately, they were very healthy, had plenty of gamemakers and were ready to capitalize on our dumb penalties. So once again, congrats to Les (the mad hatter) Miles and his Tigers.

Enjoy the above video for post-game discussions from the College Gameday guys.

By the way- I want to say it now that FOX sucks for their BCS bowl coverage. I'm sorry to have seen the contract go from ABC to FOX. They do a horrible job of announcing, bad audio, awful video shots, they keep selling out the game to commercials. It's absolutely horrid. I don't like the stuffiness of the FOX announcers, and I didn't care for how these guys announced any of the games and how they were handled. Thank God for the ESPN Gameday crew. At halftime of last nights game, I immediately flipped to ESPN - and sure enough my gameday guys were there with analysis. Then even after the game wrapped up, I switched it back to ESPN, and sure enough my gameday guys were there. We've been hanging out together all season, so why not for this game? Thanks Reese, MayDay, Lou, Chris, Kirk, Lee and all the rest of you guys, including the ABC guys like Doug and the crew. I'll be looking forward to once again hanging out with all of you next season for some more great college football played on the best day to play the game: Saturday, not Sunday. It's about Rivalries, Tradition, Ambiance, and the love of your alma mater and your team.

Thank You Buckeyes and Thank You Georgia Bulldogs for a great college football season.
